Bay Area Recreation

Boating/Sailing:

From November to April, try whale watching.  Gray whales can be observed making the two-month 3,000-mile trip from the artic to Baja California to calve and feed in the warm southern waters.  The gentle giants can be observed from shore north of the city at Point Reyes Lighthouse or one of the special whale watching tours offered by some of the charter companies above.

Bicycling:

Ride across the Golden Gate Bridge or in Golden Gate Park.  Roller blades, inline skates and traditional skates for adults and children are available also.  Enjoy your ride!

Hot Air Ballooning:

Not something you do everyday.  A beautiful way to see the wine country.

Fishing:

Sport fishing expeditions for salmon and albacore with daily departures.

Golf:

There are many courses throughout the Northern California, both public and private.

Horseback Riding:

San Francisco's only equestrian facility offers riders of varying skill levels guided, on-hour rides through Golden Gate Park as well as along Ocean Beach.
